so it's been exactly four months since i left france and headed home. i'd love to report that it's been four months fruitfully spent and that now i have a fantastic job in some exotic location...but we've all seen the title for this blog, right? no such luck has come my way....

i estimate that i've sent out nearly 30 resumes for nearly every available research assistant position in the country...and in that time, how many people have actually replied? one...granted it was the last job i ever expected to hear back from. i had two phone interviews with yale only to be told that i "didn't have enough experience"....that ol' you-don't-have-enough-experience- to-get-for-this-job-but-we're-not-going-to-hire-you-so-you-can-gain-some-experience thing...it should be called catch 23...

oh well...after a brief depression i've started sending out resumes again this week...i think i applied for 6 this week alone...in the meantime i'm subbing at the new highschool for a teacher on maternity leave...i'm not going to rant and rave...take all the old rantings from my last job and multiply it times 10...that about covers it...

jeeze...this is a downer of a first post...i guess that's why i decided to start blogging again...i missed my outlet...i missed writing...

i'll be back soon...and i promise i'll be much cheerier next time...
